Get to Know the MedFare Team - Andrew Fortney

For those of you who are just now tuning in, each month our full-service printing company asks a different employee a series of questions in order to get to know them a little better. Here at MedFare, we are family and we like to treat our clients like family too. We enjoy getting to know them so we feel it is only fair that you get to know us too. Keep reading for the answers our own Andrew Fortney gave.
1. How did you get started in this industry?
After getting out of the USAF I sold paper to Printing Companies in the 80’s which led to getting into the printing industry in 1990 – Been doing it ever since.
2. What is your position at MedFare? What are some of your key responsibilities?
Vice President of Sales & Marketing – Oversee all hiring, training and managing salespeople, oversee marketing and sell national accounts.
3. What brought you to the Lake of the Ozarks, MO or Boca Raton, FL, depending on which dept. you work in?
I relocated from South Florida in 2017 to The Lake of The Ozarks for the beauty and change of pace…Love it!
4. Where did you attend school?
University of North Dakota - USAF
5. What do you enjoy the most about your job?
The relationships with the customers and the entire Medfare team.
6. How do you enjoy spending your time when not at work?
Hiking and Kayaking with my dog
7. When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A Professional Motocross Racer
8. What is your dream vacation destination? Why?
Having traveled the world I now prefer to spend my vacations at home in the Lake of the Ozarks.
9. What is something few people know about you?
I play a pretty good blues harmonica.
10. If you won the lottery, what would you do?
That all depends on the size of the lottery.
