Get to Know the MedFare Team - Steve Truitt
It is that time again! MedFare is proud to continue our Get to Know Our Team series with our very own Steve Truitt. For those of you who are just tuning into this monthly blog series, each month our full-service printing company asks one of our team members a series of questions in an effort to get to know them better. Keep reading for the answers Steve gave us!
1. How did you get started in this industry? – My Grandfather and Father have always been in the printing business. I actually started helping my Father when I was 10 years old doing odd jobs around the printing plant. I have been in printing for over 50 years
2. What is your position at MedFare? What are some of your key responsibilities? – I’m a Regional Account Manager for Medfare. I do sales and I also engineer and price jobs for customers.
3. What brought you to the Lake of the Ozarks, MO or Boca Raton, FL, depending on which dept. you work in? – I moved to Mid Missouri with my wife and 2 boys in 1982 to introduce a sales program to the production plant of Medfare. I have been here ever since.
4. Where did you attend school? – Marengo High School, Marengo, Illinois
5. What do you enjoy the most about your job? - My favorite part of my job is meeting with customers and explaining face to face how Medfare’s products can help them save money and increase their Patient Satisfaction Scores!
6. How do you enjoy spending your time when not at work? – I love fishing with my grandchildren. We have a small fishing lake on our property and I love that my grandchildren would rather fish than play video games! My wife and I also learned ASL Sign Language in 2009 and we enjoy teaching and assisting in the deaf community as volunteers.
7. When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up? - I always wanted to be a minister and work in the printing industry. I am happy to be able to do both.
8. What is your dream vacation destination? Why? – It was always a dream of ours to take a dream vacation to Africa. A few years back we were able to take that vacation. It was awesome! It was a Missionary trip and we just loved meeting 1000’s of African children! We also were able to take a short Safari which was a once in a lifetime treat for us.
9. What is something few people know about you? – I am head-over-heels in love with my dog, Albert. When I’m inside our house, Albert is always with me, no matter what I am doing!
10. If you won the lottery, what would you do? – I don’t gamble, but if I came into a large sum of money I would enjoy donating it to help others.
