Get to Know The MedFare Team - Amy Lee
It is that time again! Our full-service printing company is here to continue our Get to Know the MedFare Team blog series. We are excited to share with you the answers our very own Amy Lee, Director of Operations, gave to the 10 questions we ask each employee. The people that make up our Healthcare & Hospitality Printed Items company are like family. 1. How did you get started in this industry? I started working at MedFare at age 19 as a receptionist and have worked my way up the ranks through customer service, accounting, and operations.
2. What is your position at MedFare? What are some of your key responsibilities? I am currently the Director of Operations and my key responsibilities include working with Customer Service and Sales to make sure everything is working smoothly and that our customers are getting the best service and products that we can offer.
3. What brought you to the Lake of the Ozarks, MO or Boca Raton, FL, depending on which dept. you work in? I moved to Boca Raton, Florida at age 11 with my family from Riverhead, New York and fell in love with the tropical weather and beautiful beaches here. My family has since moved back up north to Vermont, but I never want to leave sunny South Florida.
4. Where did you attend school? I went to Spanish River High School and attended Palm Beach State College, both in Boca Raton.
5. What do you enjoy the most about your job? Working with the customers. Everyone is always very nice and I enjoy talking to people from all over the country.
6. How do you enjoy spending your time when not at work? I enjoy having fun with my family, traveling, reading, watching baseball, and hanging out at the beach or by the pool.
7. When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up? When I was really little, I wanted to be a nun. As I got older, I wanted to do basically what I do now.
8. What is your dream vacation destination? Why? I would love to go to Europe. I love reading about history and I would love to see some of the places that I read about in books.
9. What is something few people know about you? I am a Star Wars nerd and cheesy sci-fi movie lover. Empire Strikes Back and Logan’s Run are my two favorite movies.
10. If you won the lottery, what would you do? I would travel around the world.
